Hi! I’m Deby Shevat
I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist whose path led her to understand the importance of balancing her own wellness with the wellness of her clients and their families. After a career focusing on providing Pediatric OT in a larger scale, I am choosing to now focus on community outreach – by offering OT consult services, education and training for parents and educational staff as well as boutique Pediatric OT services for young children and their families (ages 1.5 years old – 10 years old). I am fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew.
My Approach
My work is grounded in a holistic approach to therapy—centered on trust, mutual respect, and meaningful relationships with both children and their caregivers. I believe that families play a central role in a child’s development. That’s why I prioritize open communication and caregiver collaboration to empower and engage those who know the child best.
Through playful, child-led sessions, I support the development of cognitive, sensory, motor, and social-emotional skills. Every activity is thoughtfully chosen to promote participation in age-appropriate, real-life tasks that matter to both the child and the family.
Specialization and Focus
I specialize in working with children who experience developmental, neuromotor, and sensory processing challenges. After years of working in larger clinical and educational systems, I made the decision to work more closely with a small number of families. This allows me to provide highly individualized care—offering my full attention, expertise, and energy to each child and family I serve.
Community Support and Services
Beyond direct therapy, I’m committed to empowering the broader community. I provide:
- Caregiver consultations to help families better understand and support their child’s development
- Training and education for early childhood educators and staff
- Ongoing support for those shaping the daily environments that influence a child’s growth
I believe in the strength of communities—and my goal is to help yours thrive by sharing knowledge, building confidence, and supporting connection.
